KINDNESS IS KEY! ❤️
Bible Verse 📖
“You are the light of the world.. like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” - Matthew 5:14 (NLT).
Some days it feels easier to pull back, stay quiet, or protect your energy.. but Jesus reminds us that we already carry His light. We don’t have to manufacture it; we just have to let it shine.
What Does It Mean to Bring Light? ✨️
Light doesn’t shout. It doesn’t demand attention. It simply shows the way!
Bringing light to others can be simple..
Sending a text that says, “Thinking of you.”
Choosing a gentle tone even when you're frustrated.
Holding the door, letting someone go first in traffic, or offering a genuine compliment.
Being present, really present with someone who’s hurting.
Sometimes kindness doesn’t feel big enough. But God uses small seeds in big ways. Remember, light breaks darkness one flicker at a time.
In therapy, we talk a lot about co-regulation. This means humans help calm one another simply through gentle presence, patience, and empathy.
When you offer kindness..
You help someone else’s nervous system settle.
You increase your own well being through dopamine and oxytocin (our “connection chemicals”).
You model safety and compassion, which inspires others to pay it forward.
Kindness is not just “being nice.” It’s a healing practice. And Jesus modeled it perfectly.
Ask yourself today..
“Where can I bring a little more light than I did yesterday?”
You don’t need a spotlight. You just need willingness.
Prayer! 🙏
Father, thank You for being the source of all light. I ask for breakthrough in the places where I feel stuck, weary, or overlooked. Help me to walk in kindness.. not just when it’s easy, but especially when it’s hard. Surround me with people who show kindness, speak life, and encourage me the way You do. Make me a light bearer in small moments and big ones. Let Your love shine through me today. Amen.

Amen 🙏
