Daily Devotional ✝️
HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🥳
New Mercies, New Steps ❤️
Scripture:
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
Isaiah 43:18 to 19 (NIV)
Devotional Reflection:
Starting fresh can feel both hopeful and frightening. The past often clings to us, old mistakes, regrets, disappointments, or even former successes that keep us stuck. We replay what we should have said, should have done, or wish we could undo. Yet God does not ask us to relive what He has already redeemed.
New beginnings are not about pretending the past never happened. They are about trusting that it no longer defines us. God specialises in fresh starts. Each morning is proof, new breath, new mercy, new opportunity. When God calls us forward, He is not minimizing our past pain. He is declaring that it no longer has the final word.
Choosing to start fresh is an act of faith. It means releasing control, forgiving ourselves and others, and believing that God’s grace is sufficient for today, not yesterday. When we loosen our grip on what was, our hands become free to receive what is.
God’s new thing often begins quietly, a changed mindset, a softened heart, a single obedient step. Do not wait until everything feels perfect. New beginnings begin the moment you say, “Lord, I trust You with my next step.”
Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for Your mercy that meets me every morning. Help me release the weight of my past, my regrets, failures, and fears. Give me the courage to step into the new thing You are doing in my life. Renew my mind, strengthen my heart, and guide my steps as I choose to begin again with You today. Amen.
Today’s Focus:
Ask yourself, “What is one thing I need to release in order to move forward?”
Then take one small step, mentally, spiritually, or practically, toward the fresh start God is offering you today.

Amen may we be covered in the blood of Jesus throughout 2026 and may all our goals be reached and our hearts fulfilled ❤️ thank you so much for all the support and encouragement and guidance in 2025 Jess and community I am forever grateful 🥰
