The idea that “God tells us not to follow our heart or emotions” comes from the Bible showing that our hearts and feelings can’t always be trusted, especially when they lead us away from what God says is true and right. And as we know, Jesus gave us the cheat code to life. What He says is what we should do! For a good life, anyway.
