Resurrection Sunday always hits when you really pause and take it in. This is not just a nice moment in history or a symbolic story we revisit once a year. This is the foundation of everything we believe! 👏
The day death lost. The day hope became unshakable. The day Jesus didn’t stay in the grave.
“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” – Matthew 28:6 (NIV)
It reminds us that God keeps His word, even when it looks impossible. The disciples thought it was over. They had watched Him suffer, watched Him die, and sat in grief thinking everything they believed in had fallen apart. But behind the scenes, God was still moving. What looked like defeat was actually the greatest victory.
And honestly, we go through moments like that too. Times where things feel dead. Dreams feel buried. Prayers feel unanswered. Situations feel too far gone. You might even be in one of those seasons right now, wondering if anything can come back to life again.
Resurrection Sunday reminds you that God is not limited by what looks final 👀
That thing you’ve given up on. That part of you that feels broken. That situation that seems sealed shut. God can breathe life into it again. Not always in the way you expect, and not always in your timing, but in a way that brings real, lasting transformation.
Jesus didn’t just rise so we could celebrate one day a year. He rose so you could live differently every single day. Free from the weight of your past. Free from shame. Free from fear that things will never change.
There is something so powerful about knowing that no matter how dark Friday felt, Sunday was coming.
And the same is true for you!!!!
Your story is NOT over. God is still writing. There is still redemption ahead. There is still joy that can rise out of sorrow. There is still purpose in places you thought were empty.
Today is a reminder to stop agreeing with hopeless thoughts. Stop telling yourself “it’s too late” or “it’s done.” If Jesus can walk out of a sealed tomb, then nothing in your life is beyond His reach.
Even now, God is working in ways you cannot see yet.
So today, lift your eyes a little. Let hope come back in. Let faith rise again, even if it’s small. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need to trust the One who already overcame the grave.
Prayer! 🙏
Father God, thank You that the story didn’t end at the cross. Thank You that You are a God who brings life out of death, hope out of despair, and light into the darkest places. Today I give You the things in my life that feel finished, broken, or beyond repair. Breathe life into them in Your way. Strengthen my faith when I feel uncertain, and remind me that nothing is impossible for You. Help me to walk in the freedom You died and rose to give me. Fill my heart with peace, hope, and renewed purpose today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
