Sunday Devotional ✝️
Verse of the Day! 📖
“But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength.”
2 Timothy 4:17.
Sometimes we come into a new week excited, and sometimes we drag ourselves into it exhausted from everything life has thrown at us.
But one thing I love about God is this. He does not only stand with us on the good days.
He stands with us when we’re overwhelmed. He stands with us when our minds are racing. He stands with us when people misunderstand us. He stands with us when we feel forgotten. And He stands with us when we’re trying to rebuild parts of ourselves that life, trauma or heartbreak wore down.
Paul wrote that verse while going through an incredibly hard time. People had abandoned him. Things were not easy. Yet in the middle of all of it, he recognised something powerful. God had not left him.
I think sometimes we underestimate how much strength God quietly gives us every single day.
The fact you’re still here. Still trying. Still praying. Still hoping. Still getting back up after disappointment. That matters.
The enemy wants people exhausted, distracted, bitter and hopeless. God wants us anchored. Rested. Clear minded. Connected to Him.
And honestly, sometimes spiritual strength does not look dramatic at all. Sometimes it simply looks like choosing not to give up.
It looks like getting out of bed when anxiety is loud.
It looks like praying even when you feel distant.
It looks like saying, “God, I don’t fully understand what You’re doing right now, but I trust You.”
This Sunday, do not pressure yourself to have everything figured out. You do not need to force clarity overnight. God knows exactly where you are emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
He sees the hidden battles nobody else knows about.
He sees the prayers you cried instead of spoke.
He sees the disappointment you carry quietly.
And He is still standing beside you.
Sometimes we think God only moves through huge breakthroughs, but often He moves gently. Through peace returning slowly. Through wisdom. Through closed doors that actually protected us. Through little reminders that we are not abandoned.
Going into this new week, protect your peace carefully. Not everyone deserves access to your mind, your emotions or your energy. Spend time with God before spending time with the noise of the world. Even a few quiet moments with Him can completely reset your spirit.
And remember this too. Delays are not always punishment. Silence is not always abandonment. God can be working deeply in places we cannot yet see.
You are not behind.
You are not forgotten.
You are not fighting alone.
The Lord stands with you and gives you strength.
Prayer 🙏
Lord, thank You for staying close to us even in difficult seasons. Thank You for being our strength when we feel weak and overwhelmed. Help us enter this new week with peace instead of fear. Heal the tired places within us and remind us that we are never abandoned. Give us wisdom, discernment and rest for our minds. Help us stay close to You no matter what comes our way. In Jesus’ name, amen.
