MOVE ON - GOD WILL USE YOU 🔥

Verse: Amos 7:14

“I was neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet, but I was a shepherd.”

Amos is one of the most relatable people in the Bible.

When he was called by God, he basically said something like this.

“I’m not a prophet. I didn’t grow up in a prophet family. I was just a shepherd.”

In other words, he felt completely unqualified.

And yet God still chose him.

That’s something the Bible shows again and again. God often uses ordinary people.

Fishermen. Shepherds. Farmers. People who didn’t think they had anything special to offer.

But what they did have was willingness.

Sometimes people think they need to be perfect, knowledgeable, or impressive before they can make a difference.

But God doesn’t usually start with perfection.

He starts with people who are open to being used for something meaningful.

You might feel like your life is pretty ordinary. Work, family, daily routines, normal responsibilities.

But ordinary lives can still carry powerful influence.

Encouraging someone. Sharing wisdom. Being kind. Speaking truth. Helping others grow.

Those things matter to God!

So don’t underestimate the role you play in the lives around you.

You don’t need a big platform or a perfect life to bring light into the world.

Sometimes simply being a genuine, caring person is more impactful than you realise.

God has always worked through ordinary people.

And that hasn’t changed!

Prayer 🙏

God, thank you for using ordinary people in extraordinary ways. Help us be open to the ways you want to work through our lives. Give us courage to share kindness, truth and encouragement wherever we go this week. Amen.
