Sometimes it can honestly feel like everyone else is getting blessed except us..
You see people getting opportunities. Healing. Relationships. Financial breakthroughs. Open doors. Joy. Meanwhile you’re sitting there praying, waiting, trying to stay hopeful while wondering if maybe God skipped over your name somehow. And the dangerous thing is, comparison slowly starts whispering lies to us if we aren’t careful.
But God never said His blessings were limited.
One person being blessed does not mean there’s less available for you.
Romans 2:11 says, “For God does not show favoritism.”
That verse is so important because sometimes we accidentally start believing God loves other people more than us. We see someone else’s prayers answered and think, “Well maybe God moves for them… but not for me.” Yet the Bible constantly shows us a God who cares deeply about each individual person. He isn’t looking at you thinking you’re less worthy, less important, less lovable, or too broken to bless.
Your waiting season is not rejection.
A seed underground can look forgotten while it’s actually growing roots.
And honestly, sometimes God has to heal parts of us before giving us what we asked for. Not to punish us, but because He loves us enough to prepare us properly. There are blessings that would have crushed us emotionally if we received them too early. There are doors we begged for that God knew would wound us. Sometimes protection looks disappointingly quiet at first.
It’s also important not to measure blessing only through worldly things. Social media has trained people to think blessing means constant success, money, attention, beauty, marriage, followers, or popularity. But some of the most blessed people spiritually are walking through hidden seasons nobody applauds. Peace is a blessing. Wisdom is a blessing. Discernment is a blessing. Escaping toxic people is a blessing. Restored mental health is a blessing. Waking up with hope again is a blessing.
God sees the full picture when we only see one page.
And your story is not over.
The enemy loves convincing people that God forgot them because hopeless people stop expecting good things. But throughout scripture, God constantly surprised people after long waiting periods. Sarah waited. Joseph waited. David waited. Hannah waited. So many people in the Bible probably wondered at times if anything would ever change. Then suddenly, everything shifted.
Your life can shift too.
Not because you earned God’s love through perfection, but because He is good.
So don’t sit watching everyone else’s blessings thinking heaven has no room left for yours. God is not running out of miracles, provision, healing, peace, opportunities, restoration, or joy.
What He’s done for others, He is fully capable of doing for you too.
Prayer 🙏
God, help me not to fall into comparison or hopelessness. Remind me that You see me too. Heal the parts of me that feel forgotten or overlooked. Teach me to trust Your timing even when I don’t understand it. Thank You that my story is still unfolding and that Your goodness has not run out for me. Amen.
