Sometimes life honestly looks the complete opposite of what we prayed for..
Things fall apart. People leave. Doors close. Delays drag on forever. You try to stay hopeful but there are moments where you sit there thinking, “God… are You actually seeing this?”
The Bible is full of moments that looked hopeless before victory arrived.
Think about Joseph sitting in prison after doing the right thing. Think about David hiding in caves while Saul hunted him. Think about Lazarus being dead for four days before Jesus arrived. Even the cross looked like defeat before the resurrection changed everything.
That’s the thing about God. He does not panic in situations that make us panic.
What feels impossible to us is still completely under His authority.
A lot of us judge situations too early. We think because it looks bad now, it means the story is over. But God does some of His greatest work in moments that look completely beyond repair. Sometimes He allows things to reach the point where only He can get the glory from the outcome.
Romans 8:28 is such a known verse, but when you really sit with it, it changes everything. God works ALL things together for good for those who love Him. Not some things. Not only the easy things. All things.
Even the confusing parts.
Even betrayal.
Even delays.
Even wilderness seasons.
Even the prayers that seem unanswered right now.
The enemy loves convincing people that a bad chapter means a bad ending. But God has never lost control of a single situation. Not once.
Sometimes we think the battle is proof God abandoned us, when actually the battle is proof the enemy knows there is purpose attached to our lives. The pressure is not always punishment. Sometimes it is preparation. Sometimes God is strengthening your faith, your discernment, your endurance, and your dependence on Him before the breakthrough arrives.
And honestly, some victories happen quietly first.
Peace returning to your mind is a victory.
Getting up again is a victory.
Still praying when things look impossible is a victory.
Choosing not to give up is a victory.
God’s hand is still moving even when we cannot fully see it yet..
Isaiah 41:10 says:
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee.”
What I love about that verse is God never says we will never face hard moments. He says He will be with us in them.
Phew!
You are not abandoned in this season. You are not forgotten. And your situation is not bigger than God. The same God who parted seas, shut lions mouths, raised the dead, and broke chains is still moving today.
The ending has not been written yet.
Keep trusting Him.
Keep praying.
Keep walking forward.
God wins. Every single time.
Prayer 🙏
Lord, help me trust You even when life looks uncertain. Remind me that You are bigger than every battle, every delay, and every fear. Give me peace while I wait and strength while I walk through hard seasons. Help me remember that what looks impossible to me is never impossible for You. Thank You for never leaving me. Amen.
