Choosing God Over Temptation 🔥
Bible Verse..
“I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” - Deuteronomy 30:19.
Every day we end up choosing between two voices. One is calm and steady and leads us toward God. The other is loud and pushy and pulls us toward whatever feels easiest in the moment. That is the real fight between good and evil.
God usually does not yell to get your attention. He invites you with love. The devil tries to rush you. He uses fear, desire, and distraction to pull you away from what is right. Temptation almost never looks bad at first. It looks comfortable. It looks harmless. But behind it is something that wants to steal your peace and slowly pull you away from who God made you to be.
When God calls you, He is calling you toward life. Toward peace. Toward healing. Sometimes that means forgiving someone when it hurts. Sometimes it means walking away from something you really want. But every step toward God leads to something better than what you leave behind.
The devil offers shortcuts. God offers change that lasts. DON'T get tripped up!
You do not beat temptation by trying harder. You beat it by staying close to God. When you pray, read Scripture, and choose to obey even when it is uncomfortable, you grow stronger inside. Every small yes to God matters more than you think.
When temptation shows up today, take a moment and listen. Ask yourself, is this pulling me closer to God or further away. That simple pause can change everything.
Prayer..
Father God, help me hear Your voice above all the noise. When temptation comes, give me the strength to choose You. Protect my heart and guide my steps today. I want to walk in Your truth and not fall for the lies that lead me away from You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
