The Bible teaches that eternal life is a real gift from God and not just a comforting idea. Jesus speaks about it clearly. He says that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life and will not be separated from God. Eternal life means living in the presence of God where there is no more sorrow or death and where everything broken is made new.
Scripture also teaches that our relationships do not end. Paul talks about believers being gathered together with the Lord. Jesus promises that there are many rooms in His Father’s house and that He prepares a place for us. The picture is a future where God brings His family home and where His people are reunited.
So the biblical truth is simple. God offers eternal life through Jesus and He promises a future where His people are with Him and with one another. Love does not end. Life does not end. God keeps His people together in His presence forever.
