Do not fear. You are not given a spirit of fear or paranoia. Amongst an increased level of satanic panic, remember who has the power.
JESUS.
When people say something is demonic, they usually mean it’s influenced by evil spiritual forces that go against God’s nature. In the Bible, demons are fallen angels who rebelled with Satan and now work to deceive, corrupt, and pull people away from truth and love.
Things like spells, readings, or rituals that try to gain power or knowledge from spiritual forces outside of God can open people up to that influence. They often look harmless or even “positive,” but the Bible is clear that we aren’t supposed to mix with those things because they lead to deception.
“For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” — 2 Corinthians 11:13-14
That verse is saying evil doesn’t always look evil. Sometimes it looks wise or spiritual.
Now about the satanic panic. It happened in the 1980s. And that’s when society freaks out and blames everything dark or strange on “Satanists” or secret rituals. Most of the time, that fear is exaggerated or misdirected. The panic becomes a tool to distract people from what’s actually demonic.
What’s really demonic isn’t always some big dramatic ritual. It’s often the quiet corruption of truth, love, and justice. Things like greed, manipulation, pride, cruelty, and the love of power. Those are the same old tactics the enemy has used since the Garden of Eden.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” — Ephesians 6:12
When people get caught up in panic and accusations, they stop looking at their own hearts and at the systems of greed, deceit, and pride around them. That’s how fear controls people. It makes them point fingers instead of seeking truth and peace.
“God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” — 2 Timothy 1:7
So the real fight isn’t about spotting some “secret cult.” It’s about staying awake to what’s genuinely dark.. lies, hate, and arrogance , and keeping our hearts aligned with God’s light.
