No, I'm not anti church by the way. Just wary on finding the right one. And here's why.
Finding the Right People! 🫂
The people we walk with shape the direction of our lives. God often uses friendships churches and support systems as instruments of growth healing and protection. At the same time not every connection is safe for our spirit. Wisdom is required to know who draws us closer to Christ and who slowly pulls us away.
God never intended for us to walk alone. From the early church gathering together to Jesus choosing disciples community has always been part of His design. The right people remind us of truth when we forget it. They pray when we are weak. They celebrate obedience not just success. Healthy spiritual relationships encourage repentance humility and growth rather than comfort without conviction.
Spiritual danger does not always look obvious. Sometimes it appears as subtle compromise. Voices that normalize sin dismiss Scripture or replace godly counsel with personal opinion. Over time these influences can dull discernment and weaken faith. This is why Scripture urges us to test what we hear and observe the fruit of those we follow. Godly community produces peace accountability and a deeper hunger for righteousness.
Ask the Lord for discernment. Pay attention to whether a relationship draws you toward prayer obedience and love or toward confusion pride and distance from God. Trust that God is faithful to provide the right people at the right time when you seek Him first.
Bible Verse..
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way, that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord and who meditates on his law day and night.”
Psalm 1 verses 1 through 2.
Prayer..
Lord thank You for caring about the people in my life. Give me wisdom to recognize relationships that are life giving and rooted in truth. Help me to discern what is spiritually dangerous even when it looks harmless. Lead me to friends churches and support systems that honor You and strengthen my faith. Give me courage to step away from influences that pull me from You and humility to grow where You place me. In Jesus name, amen.
