“Walking by Faith, Not by Sight” 🕊
Bible verse..
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)
It’s crazy how much of what we “see” today might not even be real. Between filters, AI generated videos, and perfect looking lives on social media, our eyes can fool us. Things can look true, sound convincing, and still be completely fake.
But God’s Word reminds us that our walk with Him isn’t based on what we see. It’s based on faith. Faith means trusting what God says even when what we see doesn’t line up.
Abraham had to walk by faith when God promised him a son even though his body said, “No way.” Peter had to walk by faith when he stepped out on the water.. and the moment he started looking at the waves instead of Jesus, he started sinking.
The truth is, sight will always show us limits; faith shows us God’s possibilities.
In this age of AI and endless information, discernment is more important than ever. Just because something looks real or sounds “spiritual” doesn’t mean it’s from God. The Bible tells us to “test the spirits” (1 John 4:1) that’s discernment. The Holy Spirit helps us sense what’s true, even when our eyes can’t see it.
So today, slow down. Don’t just scroll, click, or believe everything that crosses your screen. Ask..
“Lord, what’s true here?”
“Does this align with Your Word?”
“Am I seeing this through faith or fear?”
Because when we walk by faith and not by sight, not by hype, not by headlines. That we stay anchored in what’s eternally real.
Prayer..
Lord, teach me to walk by faith, not by sight. Help me trust You when things look uncertain, and give me discernment to know truth from deception, online and in life. Keep my eyes fixed on You, the author and finisher of my faith. Amen.
