Be careful who you worship.. because you don't know who THEY worship.
It is really easy to get caught up in the glow of famous people trends and all the shiny things our world throws at us. Celebrities can feel larger than life and the whole entertainment scene can look almost magical. But that pull can start to feel spiritual in a way that is not healthy. It is not that every famous person is evil. It is that the whole system can tempt us to replace God with people and with stuff that cannot save us.
Sometimes the culture around fame feels like a stage filled with bright lights that try to draw your heart away from what really matters. When you treat someone like they can do no wrong or when you let worldly things guide your choices more than God that is when things get spiritually messy. Scripture reminds us that misdirected worship is dangerous because it shifts our attention from real truth to things that cannot give life.
DISCERNMENT PEOPLE. Seek the light amongst the darkness.

“Little children keep yourselves from idols”
Take a moment today and ask God to help you keep your worship pointed in the right direction. Enjoy music movies and culture but do not let them take the place of the One who deserves your whole heart.
