Devotional Message For ALL ❤️

Devotional: Choosing to See God’s Light!

Scripture: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” – John 1:5

Each day we are presented with two perspectives: to see the darkness of the world or to notice God’s hand at work in our lives. The enemy delights when our hearts are weighed down by fear, negativity, or despair. But God calls us to lift our eyes.. to see His fingerprints in both the extraordinary and the ordinary.

Darkness may shout loudly, but it is never stronger than the light of Christ. The truth is, God is always moving: in answered prayers, in acts of kindness, in the beauty of creation, in the comfort of His Spirit. If we choose to pay attention, we’ll begin to see Him everywhere! In the smile of a child, the warmth of a friend, or the peace that fills our hearts when we pray.

Think of how the sun works: even when clouds cover the sky, the light is still shining. In the same way, God’s goodness is always present, even when the world feels overwhelming. By shifting our focus toward His light, our hearts find strength and hope.

Reflection Questions:

Where have I seen God’s goodness in my life recently.. big or small?

Am I giving more attention to the darkness around me than to the light of Christ?

How can I mould my heart that notices God’s goodness daily?

Prayer: Lord, help me to see Your goodness more clearly than the darkness of this world. Open my eyes to notice the ways You are working in my life today. Let my heart dwell on Your light, not on fear, and help me to reflect that light to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
